Jehn-Ruey Jiang received his Ph. D. degree in Computer Science in 1995 from National Tsing-Hua University, Taiwan, R.O.C. He joined Chung-Yuan Christian University as an Associate Professor in 1995. He joined Hsuan-Chuang University in 1998 and became a full Professor in 2004. He is currently with the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Central University, and leads the Advanced Computing And Networking (ACAN) Laboratory, which focuses on advanced technologies about networking and computing.
He was the recipient of the Best Paper Award at the 32nd International Conference on Parallel Processing (2003), the Excellent Paper Award at Mobile Computing Workshop (2004), the Best Paper Award at the 5th Workshop on Wireless, Ad Hoc, and Sensor Networks (2009), the Best Paper Award at the 7th, 9th and 10th Workshop on Wireless, Ad Hoc, and Sensor Networks (2011, 2013, 2014), and the Distinguished Paper Award at the International Conference on Internet Studies (2015). He was Guest Editors of International Journal of Ad Hoc and Ubiquitous Computing (IJAHUC) and Journal of Information Science and Engineering (JISE). He has been the program chair of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th International Workshop on Peer-to-Peer Networked Virtual Environments (P2PNVE'07-11), the 9th ACM Annual Workshop on Network and Systems Support for Games (NetGames'10), the 2010 International Workshop on Applications of Wireless Ad hoc and Sensor Networks (AWASN'10), and the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd International Workshop on Internet of Things Technologies (IoTT'13-15). His research interests include the Wireless Sensor Network (WSN), Software Defined Networking (SDN), Internet of Things (IoT) and Cyber-Physical System (CPS) for Industry 4.0.
